The Cambia thermal modification process uses high heat in a controlled atmosphere that improves the durability and decay resistance of the wood. Cambia no longer contains sufficient nutrients to support insect infestation or fungal attack. Cambia hardwood siding has increased dimensional stability and resists movement with changes in relative humidity.
No toxic chemicals are used in our thermal modification process. Our special drying process achieves a deep natural chocolate color that looks exotic without hurting the environment.
Cambia siding can be left uncoated or coated. An oil based exterior finish with a UV inhibitor is suggested for best coated results. Uncoated siding will turn a silvery gray over time.
